When Your Drains Won't Drain

A slow drain is annoying. A clogged drain is an emergency waiting to happen. Whether it's a kitchen sink backing up during dinner prep, a shower that won't drain, or a toilet that's threatening to overflow, we've seen it all and we'll get it moving.

Stafford Plumbing & Heating handles every kind of drain problem—from minor clogs to major sewer line blockages. We don't just snake the surface issue and call it done. We diagnose what's actually causing the backup and clear it properly.

Our Drain Cleaning Services

Sewer Jetting
High-pressure water jetting cuts through grease, roots, and years of buildup that a snake can't touch. It's the most thorough way to clean a drain line, and it lasts longer than old-school methods.

Sewer Camera Inspection
We don't guess. Our camera scoping shows us exactly what's blocking your line, where it is, and what condition your pipes are in. If there's a crack, a root invasion, or a collapsed section, we'll know before we dig.

Slow or Clogged Drains
Kitchen sinks, bathroom drains, floor drains, main sewer lines—if it drains (or should), we clear it. Fast response, no mess left behind.

Why Drains Clog

Most clogs build slowly. Grease coats kitchen lines. Hair and soap scum narrow bathroom drains. Tree roots find their way into sewer pipes through tiny cracks. By the time you notice a problem, it's been brewing for months.

We clear the clog and show you what caused it. Sometimes it's just use over time. Sometimes it's a bigger issue that needs attention before it becomes a basement full of sewage.

What to Expect

We'll ask a few questions—what's draining slow, how long it's been happening, whether you've noticed gurgling or smells. Then we'll locate the problem, clear it, and test the line to make sure it's flowing right.

If we find something on camera that needs more than cleaning, we'll walk you through it with no pressure and no surprises on the bill.

How it works
01

Diagnose the Problem

We locate the clog and determine the best method to clear it—sometimes a camera inspection is needed to see what we're dealing with.

02

Clear the Line

Using sewer jetting or mechanical snaking, we remove the blockage and any buildup causing slow drainage.

03

Test and Verify

We run water to confirm the drain is flowing properly and check for any underlying issues that could cause future problems.

Common questions
How do I know if I need jetting or just a snake?+

If it's a simple clog near the fixture, a snake often does the job. But if you have recurring backups, slow drains throughout the house, or heavy grease and root buildup, jetting is the better solution. We'll recommend what actually fits the problem, not what costs more.

Will you damage my pipes with high-pressure jetting?+

No. We adjust pressure based on your pipe material and condition. If your pipes are old or fragile, we'll inspect them first with a camera and use the safest method. Jetting is tough on clogs, not on properly maintained pipes.

How long does drain cleaning take?+

Most drain cleanings take one to two hours, depending on the severity and location of the clog. If we need to run a camera or deal with a main sewer line issue, it may take longer, but we'll keep you informed every step of the way.
